The neighboring countries of Cote d'Ivoire are Liberia and Guinea in the West, Mali and Burkina Faso in the North, and Ghana in the East. In the South, Cote d'Ivoire opens out to the Gulf of Guinea. Its coastal belt is about 500 kilometers long.
